Uma análise teológica da sexualidade no Cântico dos cânticos.

Abstract

This dissertation analyzes the biblical book Song of Solomon, a love poem that stands out for its intense use of erotic vocabulary and detailed descriptions of the physical characteristics of the lovers. Different interpretations and positions of scholars regarding the origin and erotic nature of this Song are discussed. Various hypotheses about the composition and structuring of the Song are addressed, as well as interpretative perspectives throughout history. A reading based on literary and linguistic analysis is defended, without imposing preconceived religious or secular structures, and it is suggested that a feminist theological perspective can offer valuable new insights. Is the Song a praise of God, humanity, or spirituality? The metaphors used in the Song to describe love are examined, and it is argued that desire is a divine gift that distinguishes humans and that love, including erotic love, cannot be separated from ethics. Finally, the concept of "ethical love" is discussed in light of the analysis of sexuality in the Song of Songs, and the discrepancy between its content and the teaching of Christian churches is questioned.
