Abstract

This report analyzed the process of women entering the officialdom of the Pernambuco State Judiciary, in which characters unknown to history came to occupy a space dominated by men. The research also presented reports related to the challenges faced by female officers in the exercise of their function and problematized the issue of female empowerment in the judiciary with support in the relations of power and representation present throughout society, its segments and especially in institutions, in this case, in the Pernambuco officialdom. Without transcending the insertion of women in the officialdom, the entire power relationship involving the district of Taquaritinga do Norte - PE was addressed. Thus, by comparing various sources, our research used a dual method: bibliographical and documentary. We also analyzed reports published on electronic sites, with the support of the theorists Foucault (1979), Certeau (1998) and Bourdieu (2012). The methodology is documentary and content analysis. The time frame chosen included the period after the 1988 Federal Constitution, when the process of "feminization" in the officialdom took place. As a product of the master's degree, we will have a virtual illustrative booklet aimed at provoking reflection on the role of women in society and within the Judiciary.
