The general objective of this study was to analyze the enunciative and multimodal
language of the Chacrinha TV communicator, in its auditorium program broadcasted
by Rede Globo, in the 1980s. It is a program broadcasted on Brazilian television during
the military dictatorship under the president of João Baptista de Oliveira Figueredo
when there was no freedom of expression in the country. This research shows its
relevance because it is a linguistic analysis in statements considered as unusual,
irreverent and comical, but which, at the same time, were coated with implicit semantic
aspects and multimodal features. This time, we made an analysis of the language of
the communicator Chacrinha in four of his programs broadcasted on Rede Globo
television: the first program 'Casino do Chacrinha', recorded in 1982 and the others in
1985 , 1987 and the last program in 1988, in order to identify the deictic elements.

aspects of Chacrinha's speech and to describe the multimodal aspects of the
presenter's language using the enunciative approach of Émile Benveniste's theory
(2005, 2006). In addition to the studies of the multimodality of David McNeill (1985,
1992) under the indissoluble gaze of oral and sign language. The nature of this
research is qualitative of the documentary type, since a new analytical treatment was
given to eight recordings of a television program. The methodology used to meet the
desired objectives was accomplished through the audiovisual transcription of the
selected programs, through the identification of the deictic elements of language, as
well as the multimodal aspects of the gesture-speech relationship presented as the
same meaning matrix. Thus, this research not only contributed to the enunciative and
multimodal studies in the field of Language Sciences, but was also socially relevant
regarding the language analysis of a communicator, remembered until today as a
milestone in the history of Brazilian television, in a time of cultural and social
repression.
O objetivo geral deste estudo foi analisar a linguagem enunciativa e multimodal do
comunicador de TV Chacrinha, em seu programa de auditório exibido pela Rede
Globo, na década de 1980. Trata-se de um programa veiculado na televisão brasileira
no período da Ditadura Militar sob a presidência de João Baptista de Oliveira
Figueiredo quando não existia a liberdade de expressão no país. Esta pesquisa
mostra sua relevância por se tratar de uma análise linguística em enunciados tidos
como inusitados, irreverentes e cômicos, mas que, ao mesmo tempo, apresentavamse revestidos de aspectos semânticos implícitos e recursos multimodais. Desta feita,
fizemos uma análise sobre a linguagem do comunicador Chacrinha em quatro de seus
programas veiculados na Rede Globo de Televisão: o primeiro programa ‘Cassino do
Chacrinha’, gravado em 1982, e os demais em 1985, 1987 e o último programa em
1988, a fim de identificar os elementos dêiticos pessoais da linguagem de Chacrinha;
analisar os aspectos enunciativos e multimodais da fala do Chacrinha e descrever os
aspectos multimodais da linguagem do apresentador utilizando a abordagem
enunciativa da teoria de Émile Benveniste (2005, 2006). Além dos estudos da
multimodalidade de David McNeil (1985, 1992) sob o olhar indissolúvel da linguagem
oral e gestual. A natureza desta pesquisa é qualitativa do tipo documental, uma vez
que se deu um novo tratamento analítico, a oito gravações de um programa de
televisão. A metodologia utilizada para atender aos objetivos almejados realizou-se
por meio da transcrição audiovisual dos programas selecionados, mediante a
identificação dos elementos dêiticos da linguagem, bem como os aspectos
multimodais da relação gesto-fala apresentadas como uma mesma matriz de
significação. Desse modo, esta pesquisa não só contribuiu aos estudos enunciativos
e multimodais no campo das Ciências da Linguagem como também foi relevante
socialmente no que concerne a análise da linguagem de um comunicador, lembrado
até hoje como um marco na história da televisão brasileira, numa época de repressão
cultural e social.
