Percepções sociais sobre a intolerância em relação às religiões de matriz africana.

Our research aims to look into the following theme: the religious intolerance practiced
by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) against the african matrix religions
(AMR). It was set up as a general objective: Understanding the why of the religious intolerance,
practiced by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, against the african matrix religions.
With the following especific objectives: showing the historic way of the religious intolerance
process, developed by the Universal Church of the kingdom of God, against the african matrix
religions; identify the impacts of the practice of religious intolerance, along with the cultural
and social imaginary; and analise the religious intolerance problem, according to all the content
researched, focusing on; the roots of intolerance and the seed of coexistence. The methodology
applied was framed in a context of social research, using the qualitative descritive and
exploratory research method. The colleced data was done in three consecutive and
complementary phases. The first phase, a exploratory bibliografic research was developed. The
second, the processing of oral interview techniques and thematic readings were used. The third,
the processing and the analisis of all the collected data during the firsts phases. The UCKG
followers are intolerant as to the religious denominations, nonetheless this procedure
strengthens as to the AMR. This is the outcome of the holy war, set up against the devil and the
legion of demons, in which they are identified, analogically, with the spiritual entities that are
worshiped in the AMR rituals. Mostly, these believers have little education, that follow their
leaders dictate in a fanatic way. The lack of knowledge of the real meanings of the cosmo view
of the AMR, by the majority of the non followers of these religions denominations is the most
important aspect, for the commom sense generation, in the popular imaginary, that: theses
religions practice evil during lifetime, bringing up a religious intolerance feeling. The
interreligious dialog practice, among the religious leaderships and expanded to all unconcious
society, in order to harmonize the differences and strenghthen similarities, bring up the
necessary conditions to the establishment of a religious coexistence.
A nossa pesquisa teve como finalidade investigar o seguinte tema: a intolerância
religiosa exercida pela Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (Iurd) contra as religiões de matriz
africana (RMA). Foi estabelecido como objetivo geral: compreender o porquê da intolerância
religiosa, praticada pela Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus, contra as religiões de matriz
africana. Com os seguintes objetivos específicos: apresentar o caminho histórico do processo
de intolerância religiosa, desenvolvido pela Iurd, contra as RMA; identificar os impactos da
prática da intolerância religiosa, junto ao imaginário cultural e social; e analisar o problema da
intolerância religiosa, de acordo com todo o conteúdo pesquisado, enfocando: as raízes da
intolerância e a semente da coexistência. A metodologia aplicada foi enquadrada num contexto
de pesquisa social, com a utilização do método de pesquisa qualitativa descritiva e exploratória.
A coleta de dados foi constituída em três fases consecutivas e complementares. Na primeira
fase foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa bibliográfica de natureza exploratória. Na segunda foram
utilizadas as técnicas de entrevista oral e de leituras temáticas das mesmas. Na terceira foi
realizado o processamento e a análise de todos os dados coletados nas duas primeiras fases. Os
seguidores da Iurd são intolerantes quanto as outras denominações religiosas, porém esse
procedimento se fortalece em relação às RMA. Isso é consequência da guerra santa,
estabelecida contra satanás e a sua legião de demônios, os quais são identificados,
analogicamente, com as entidades espirituais que são cultuadas nos rituais das RMA. Na sua
grande maioria, esses crentes são pessoas de pouca instrução, que seguem de forma fanática os
ditames dos seus líderes religiosos. O desconhecimento dos reais significados das cosmovisões
das RMA, por parte da imensa maioria dos não adeptos a essas denominações religiosas é o
fator preponderante, para a geração de um senso comum, no imaginário popular, de que: essas
religiões praticam o mal em todas as instâncias da vida, gerando um sentimento de intolerância
religiosa. A prática do diálogo inter-religioso, entre as lideranças religiosas e expandida para a
toda sociedade leiga, com a finalidade de se harmonizar as diferenças e de fortalecer as
semelhanças, cria as condições necessárias para o estabelecimento de uma coexistência
religiosa.
