Repmulher: história e memória da Semana da Mulher na Universidade Católica de Pernambuco, de 2003 a 2023.

Abstract

AbstractUsing the Catholic University of Pernambuco as a reference, this research intended to build the memory of Women's Week, from 2003 to 2023, making it visible and accessible to public consultation. Although Women's Week is considered a reference for feminist activism at the University, we identified gaps in the recovery of information, highlighting the need to preserve these memories so that the actions and productions of women at the Academy are not forgotten. In the theoretical basis, we conceptualize the categories of woman, feminism, memory, institutional memory and document. With regard to the categories of women and feminism, we sought the ideas of researchers Carla Rodrigues, Susana Bornéo Funck, Monique Wittig, bell hooks, Ruth Manus, Márcia Tiburi, Mariana de Lima Campos, Lélia Gonzalez, Djamila Ribeiro, Françoise Vergès, Grada Kilomba and Michelle Perrot. To situate ourselves in the fields of memory, institutional memory and to formulate the concept of document, we resort to the contributions of Joan Scott, Ana Paula Goulart Ribeiro, Margareth Helstom, Andréia Arruda Barbosa, Fernanda Cheiran Pereira, Maurice Halbwachs, Michel Pollak and Losandro Antonio Tedeschi . In the social context, we list the main public policies for women at the national, state and municipal levels, based on consultations on the institutional homepages of the Ministries and Women's Secretariats. The methodological path adopted was action research, associated with documentary research, of an exploratory type, with a qualitative analysis approach. The sources studied were: UNICAP Bulletin, Unicap News, News from the Humanitas UNICAP Institute, official documents (decrees, resolutions, normative acts, reports and plans), videos from the Institution's official YouTube page and collection of photos and videos from the UNICAP Memory Project . These sources were located in the Rectory, Communication Office, Instituto Humanitas UNICAP and Central Library, with access via the internet. To meet the requirements of the Professional Master's Degree, as a product of the research, a digital repository with public and unrestricted access was created, hosted on the UNICAP Periodicals Portal.
