The present work aims to investigate how Ignatian spirituality can be an instrument to help
university students in their self-knowledge and life project construction processes. To this end,
we seek to understand the contemporary context, especially with regard to youth realities and
the university world, with the reflections of Bauman, Baudrillard and Debord, who present their
theories of liquid society, consumer society and society of the spectacle, and we go deeper into
the youth realities, mainly with regard to work, education and spirituality. Having made this
“photograph” about youth, object of this study, we present Ignatian sources such as the
autobiography of Saint Ignatius, the founding documents of the Society of Jesus that are the
basis for the structuring of what we call the Educational Apostolate, seeking to understand what
is intended with it in the sense of monitoring and integral training of its students, especially
those in higher education. Then, we identified, within the Jesuit and Ignatian framework, some
lights to help in the process of integration and self-knowledge of university students, helping
them to reconcile with their past, recognizing the potentialities and possibilities of action of
their present; knowing themselves and the world they are in, so that they can project life, based
on what each one is, their place of announcement, and also the meaning and purpose of their
life and the values that guide their actions. We end, therefore, with the presentation of the
“maintenance” of this life project, in a constant examination and evaluation, so that this student,
in his autonomy and in the course of his life, can adapt to the constant demands and changes in
the contemporary world, never losing sight of its principle and foundation and the main mission
of being a person with and for others and in constant search for Magis and reconciliation with
oneself, with others, with society, with the transcendent and with the common home.
O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de investigar como a espiritualidade inaciana pode ser um
instrumento para ajudar os universitários em seus processos de autoconhecimento e construção
de projeto de vida. Para isso buscamos compreender o contexto contemporâneo, principalmente
no que tange as realidades juvenis e do mundo universitário, com as reflexões de Bauman,
Baudrillard e Debord, que apresentam as suas teorias de sociedade líquida, sociedade do
consumo e sociedade do espetáculo e, também nos aprofundamos sobre as realidades juvenis,
principalmente no que tange ao trabalho, educação e espiritualidade. Feita tal “fotografia” sobre
a juventude, objeto desse estudo, apresentamos as fontes inacianas tal como a autobiografia de
Santo Inácio, os documentos fundantes da Companhia de Jesus que são base para a estruturação
daquilo que chamamos de Apostolado Educacional, buscando compreender o que se pretende
com ele no sentido de acompanhamento e formação integral de seus alunos, principalmente
aqueles da educação superior. Em seguida, identificamos, dentro do arcabouço jesuíta e
inaciano, algumas luzes para ajudar no processo de integração e autoconhecimento de
universitários, ajudando-os a se reconciliar com seu passado, reconhecendo as potencialidades
e possibilidades de ação de seu presente e mais se conhecendo a si e o mundo em que estão,
para então poder projetar a vida, tendo como base aquilo que cada um é, o seu lugar de
anunciação, e, também, o sentido e propósito de sua vida e os valores que norteiam as suas
ações. Finalizamos, pois, com a apresentação da “manutenção” desse projeto de vida, em um
constante exame e avaliação, para que esse estudante, em sua autonomia e no desenrolar da sua
vida possa se adaptar às constantes demandas e mudanças no mundo contemporâneo, nunca
perdendo de vista o seu princípio e fundamento e a missão principal de ser uma pessoa com e
para os demais e em constante busca pelo Magis e pela reconciliação consigo, com o outro,
com a sociedade, com o transcendente e com o a casa comum.
